In two recent moves by the Miami Heat, they have elected to trade one of their previous starting players (Michael Beasley) to the Minnesota Timberwolves and re-sign Udonis Haslem.
Michael Beasley, and Udonis Haslem both play the position of Forward. In exchange for Beasley's trade the Miami Heat will receive two second round draft picks (2011 and 2014). Michael Beasley averaged 10.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game in the 2009-2010 playoffs.
Udonis Haslem elected to take a reduced rate of pay in order to play again for the Miami Heat.. This is his third contract with the Miami Heat, his first two signed contracts were in 2003 as a free agent, and in 2005. Udonis started each of the 75 games for the Heat in the 2009-2010 season and averaged 10.6 points.
The Miami Heat have the most to show after the 2010 NBA free agency with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James each signing new contracts to play in South Beach.
In the NBA, rosters have changed quite a bit since the Free Agency of 2010, with the biggest free agent names signing with Miami. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors each lost star players.
The biggest change, was without question, the one hour long special on ESPN called "The Decision". It was LeBron James's broadcast of where he intended to play next season. He made the decision to join the Miami Heat after Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh signed with the Heat earlier that week.
Michael Beasley played 2 seasons with the Miami Heat before being traded, Lebron James played 7 seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chris Bosh played 7 seasons for the Torronto Raptors.
There has been rumors circulating on the Internet that Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Lebron James had conspired to join the same team. Not all fans are happy about the changes that Wade, James, and Bosh have made to create a powerhouse team in Miami.
